Omer holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge, where he specialised in understanding the holistic relationship between engineering and sustainability. This programme honed his strategic thinking and leadership skills, enabling him to design solutions that integrate environmental, social, and economic considerations. Prior to Cambridge, Omer earned a Master’s in Civil and Architectural Engineering (MEng) from the University of Bath, where he achieved First-Class Honors. Throughout his career, Omer has gained invaluable experience working for prestigious engineering consultancies in London, including Arup, BuroHappold, and Price & Myers. His portfolio includes high-profile projects such as the 8 Bishopsgate tower in the City of London, 10 Bank Street in Canary Wharf, and the redevelopment of the Royal Observatory of Greenwich. Omer has also worked on various residential and mixed-use developments, such as the Peel Project, a landmark regeneration scheme in South Kilburn that includes new apartments, commercial spaces, and a health centre as part of a £80 million redevelopment. Omer’s approach to structural engineering is deeply rooted in his passion for collaborative design. He is dedicated to delivering cost-effective, sustainable, and innovative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each project. With experience spanning both large-scale and smaller projects, Omer is committed to making engineering interventions that minimise environmental impacts while maximising value for clients.
